Also now (01:06am and in bed) reading this forum post of yours it’s clear this is nothing to do with hacking at all and is simply copy to submitter spam that is easily resolved

Thanks for the tip, thats really good to know i will disable send to copy for now on.
But I did have over 900 emails sent.
Surprised if this came from the joomla contact form and there's nothing in place in the joomla system to to stop this.

Also on a side note I was using my gmail address to sign up.
I would like to use your service.
